Deborah Cohler's areas of interest include feminist theory, queer/sexuality studies and the interrelationships among gender, sexuality, race, and nationalism in the twentieth century. She is the author of Citizen, Invert, Queer: Lesbianism and War in Early Twentieth Century Britain (University of Minnesota Press, 2010) as well as articles on the gendered and sexual effects of World War I and the War on Terror. Her new research project examines the changing home-front ideologies of gender, sexuality, and citizenship in the United States during the wars of George W. Bush.
