About the department

One of the first Women Studies Departments in the U.S., forged out of transformative activism and scholarship, we continue to break new ground in feminist studies.
Our students engage in challenging academics, work closely with professors in small classes, and lead community initiatives.
We foreground transnational and intersectional relationships among gender, race, sexuality, citizenship, labor and globalization.
