Now Hiring InstructorMonday, September 18, 2017
The Department of Women and Gender Studies at San Francisco State University is looking for an experienced instructor who can teach “Women and Gender in U.S. History and Society” (WGS 150) -- a large, lower division, general education course that fulfills a U.S. History requirement -- beginning January 2018 and ending May 2018. The course examines the “historical development of institutions and ideals and the evolution of economic, political, and social processes in the U.S. since colonization; roles and status of women.” Instructors must be able to teach Feminist History, not simply women’s history. The course enrolls 100 students, includes supervision of a Graduate Assistant, and meets MWF. If interested, please email a CV, sample syllabus, and sample teaching evaluations to Julietta Hua, Chair of Women and Gender Studies at email@example.com by October 20, 2017.
